First day of school

Big Jake started Kindergarten! No tears on either end were shed and he is loving his new teacher, Mrs. Troell.
Jaici moved up to 2nd grade. She is such a good helper with getting Jake to his class and loves school to no end.
Jud the stud moved into a new building. The intermediate. He is now in 5th grade and switching classes several times. He seems to be enjoying the other classes offered this year.
Its just me and Jarom at home now and we love it!

Jud rides everything with so much excitement! Jaici sticks with me and the little boys on the smaller stuff...but Jake did want to do the Shock Wave with me..so Jaici rode it with her dad!! Good times! We had a great time!

Latest trip ...

We went with Denny to a bank seminar in Marble Falls. Lots of fun times. We then joined the Pilcher family in Dallas for Bonnie and Barry and Laila's sealing. We feel blessed to have such a wonderful family.

Saturday, July 18, 2009: 20 businesses at 1:00 p.m. and 20 businesses at 3:30 p.m.

At 40 local, family-owned businesses in the Treasure Valley nominated by Scentsy employees.

HOW:

In the “Giving Back Makes Scents” program, 1,000 Scentsy employees, suppliers and family members, collectively armed with $100,000 from owners Orville and Heidi Thompson, will converge on the Valley in groups of 50 to spend $50 each at 40 family-owned businesses. Each business will receive $2500 in sales revenue from spending by Scentsy employees in their 5th Anniversary shirts. Through this program, the company is working to strengthen the local economy, to show its support for small business owners, and to reward its employees.

Research shows that dollars spent at community-based merchants create a multiplier effect in the local economy. The American Independent Business Alliance estimates that for each dollar spent at a local independent merchant, three or more times as much goes back into the local economy compared to a dollar spent at chain-owned businesses.
