First off, since it's been forever since my last post I should let you know I am not still yelling at my kids! But rather, we have been quite busy! It boggles me to think we will start school in less than two weeks! Yikes! Where has the summer gone? Well, it might take a few posts to get caught up on all the summer fun we as a family have had. Our first magical moment was...well let me just post a picture and then hopefully I can catch up soon.

I would love to sit down with all these amazing words of cherishing my children's laughter, or seeing their skin turn bronze and their hair turning lighter from the sun and swimming each day. I would love to tell you that those kool-aid mustache's are priceless(and yes, i know they really are) and that I am ignoring all the little messes all over my house just to bask in the happiness of my life....but I am being real here, nO? While all of the above mentioned are true..and I do enjoy a good post about appreciating the small things, I am telling ya straight. This first week of no school is kicking this mama's can! The arguing and the "I'm bored"and "I'm hungry" is getting real old...

...The reason behind this post is because one of my friends that I've known the longest asked me today why I haven't updated my blog in a while. I replied with " I don't have anything to write about unless you want me to say... I yelled at my kids today...AGAIN"! She emphatically said "yes"!! Write that. So there ya have it folks. I am blessed beyond measure with my children of the corn, but I yelled at my kids today, AGAIN and I am pretty sure I will do it again before this week is over~ I'm not proud of it..but it's the truth. I am slap worn out ...I know, I know, I'll look back one day and wish these days back. I'm not trying to fast forward through them...make no mistake about that. ....and just for the record, I love my life, my family and my kids. I would do anything for them!!

Is that really a word? Don't know if it is or not but I have it. I have been through a personal struggle this past month. No maybe not a struggle, more like a trial. A crooked little path. Which has caused quite a bit of reflection on this stay at home mama!
I'm so proud of my Jud. He is filling out to be quite the young man. He loves going to church on Wednesday with all the other Young Men and I'm grateful to each of these leaders and young men who are setting such good examples and helping mold MY young man!

   One of my longtime friends(since 4th grade) has an even bigger trial she is battling right now. Please visit her blog Fingerprints and share with others. The prayers are needed. Her blog does all the best explaining. She is a beautiful writer. Grateful for this amazing woman and girl. They both have no idea how many lives have already been touched by them. I LOVE YOU CAULEY GIRLS!!!
   Jake had a little scare this month with some kind of allergic reaction that caused bronchial spasms...( asthma like symptoms) Pretty scary when your 7 year old is begging you to take him to the doctor because he can't breathe. He missed a whole week of school and was on all kinds of steroids and breathing treatments. Made me extremely grateful for a Dr. who wasted no time in getting him immediate attention.
   I found out a little over a month ago that my L5 in my lower back was severely compressed. I found this out because my big toe on my left foot was numb and staying numb. I went to see Dr. Barry and he told me that I needed to be in his office everyday for treatment....well that worked for a while, until life got in the way and needless to say I haven't been in to see him in quite a while and this past 2 weeks I have been paying for it. BAD! Like laid up in the bed, no running , no working out, hardly able to walk kind of pain. Grateful for a great husband who made me stay put and took care of things when I couldn't. Makes me even more grateful for my health and how important it is to take care of our bodies.

My Scentsy life is still just that. A life and home surrounded by Scentsy. It is a family blessing for us and we are reminded of that every day and every month and every year that my business is a blessing. I am grateful to loyal hostesses, customers and Scentsy friends. The Pilcher's are growing. We are growing stronger and taller every day. Next month Denny and I will celebrate 13 years of marriage. So hard to believe that. So crazy to think that we are grown ups responsible for the lives and guidance of these 4 little creatures we are blessed to share this journey with. I struggle everyday with patience and knowing that there is so much more I should and could be doing with and for my family. I hope that one day they will overlook my imperfections and be grateful as I am. I pray that they will look back and say...dang it my mom may not of cooked a home cooked meal every night or sang with the most amazing voice, or always had the house clean, but she laughed with us and danced with us and makes the best cookies on the planet!(from scratch YO!) I know my husband and kids aren't perfect, but to quote a great country song "They are close enough to perfect, for me"!!

   I have no particular meaning for this post, just wanted to post how grateful I am for my family, my friends and for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am eternally grateful for the knowledge I have of the plan of salvation and that the family is central to Heavenly Father's plan for us. I am grateful we are surrounded by family that we can also call friends. I am tickled my babies are getting to grow up with cousins their ages and to make those lifetime memories.
   This past week, my mother's best friend was laid to rest. This woman , I was sure would outlive everyone. Being with her kids and grandkids brought back many memories of childhood for me. I love my Mamarine and will miss her spunky, fun ways. She was my mom's best friend, and that makes me sad for my mom to lose that relationship. But, her funeral was a true celebration of her life and I know that's exactly how Mamarine would've wanted it.
   Judson and I were looking at old photos yesterday and he wanted me to find baby pictures of Jarom. Jud told me how much he missed having babies in our house. ( No wonder he loves Laila and Olivia so much) I know Judson gets frustrated with his siblings, but he made the comment while looking at baby photos, "Mom, we gotta enjoy them while their little, they grow up so fast". Made me super proud of this choice son I have.

I am beyond blessed to be the mother of these select children of our Heavenly Father. They teach me everyday! I pray that I can remember these thoughts more often and that I can lead these sweet spirits on the right path.

This is our time we look forward to all year long! Where the weather turns crisp, the air smells of corn dogs and funnel cakes and turkey legs. People travel across the United States just to come back home to the Yamboree! Parades, food, family, laughter!! I love Yamboree...but these past two years I've devoted the entire time to doing my Scentsy booth. Alexis comes in to help and this year she brought Danika. I love the time I get to spend with her sharing Scentsy with returning customers and new ones too. I loved that Danika got to spend quality time with her cousins. All in all ...it was another great Yamboree for the kids and for us Scentsy lovers too! Can't wait until next year!

I can be honest

This is my little Primary class I teach on Sunday. We talked about being honest and what that means exactly. We talked about how the 2000 Stripling Warriors were true and honest. They loved putting on their headbands and marching around like warriors! I know Jarom wore his the next two days everywhere we went!! ...and yes that is my guy giving the Rockstar sign!! If we could all just remember to be as honest as these Sunbeams are!

I've been reading several blogs lately about decorating for fall. I am not very good at decorating at all. I have one fall vase with fall fruit/flowers attached to it that my mom gave me a few years ago for my birthday..other than that I am not so good. I usually get some pumpkins and mums and stair step them on my front porch.

This is Jack- Our standby Halloween candy junkie! Jaici discovered him when she was just a wee little. I have a picture somewhere of her on top of the table sneaking some goodies!!

Of course you can't forget the decorative hand towel for the kitchen!!

I am either super cheap or I just don't have the eye to know how to cutesy stuff up!! Regardless of my abilities or should I say lack of abilities to be like Martha Stewart, I do love fall. It is my favorite. I love scarves, hats and pulling out my boots from last year! This time of year is so inviting to me. The leaves are changing and yes it may get to 90 degrees this afternoon but when we go to bed and when I wake to go run, it'll be hats and gloves! It's pretty chilly in the a.m. right now !!! It's the time of year again where the leaves are changing and football season is in full swing. Here we are actually getting chilly mornings and evenings and easier afternoons. Here in Gilmer, we are all ready and talking of feeling Yamboree coming soon....which for those who don't know what it is..it's our local fair that goes on for 3 and half days. This warmer is this month's special with Scentsy and it just made me think...that this is the time for pumpkins and reflection..but can't we remember to "Give Thanks" year round? I personally love when the air turns cooler and sweaters and jackets are a must. I am truly grateful for the amazing family I am blessed to spend each and every day with. For an amazing husband who loves me and spoils me entirely too much. He is truly the best thing about me. I am grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ. I am thankful for my amazing babies who make my life exciting. I am grateful to be with Scentsy and for the amazing opportunities it has put in my path. I am grateful for my bestest friends. I hope to try and carry this "give thanks" attitude a little longer than normal this year....my wish...is for you to do the same.

Oh..OH..Oh..oh.oooooooo I finally went through the boys baby clothes...and cried like a baby while doing so!! I could picture each sweet little boy in each outfit. How can it be that Jud is almost 12, Jake is almost 7 and Jarom is almost 5? (Jaici's clothes are in a separate pile..for a separate day of crying) I am mystified at this growing thing...we see these sweet faces everyday..and yet their little hands, feet, faces...and legs are growing right before our eyes! I am so sad I won't feel the stirring of life within me again..but am truly grateful for the 4 opportunities I did have. Each one has brought me more happiness than imaginable. I picked out my favorites cutie pie outfits that I can't part with..well at least for right now..and then packed the rest up for cousins..who will suck the life out of them too and create memories for their mamas to cling to. Love those babies...love them, kiss them, hug them, discipline them...squeeze them...cause one day.....those hugs and kisses will be few and far between...

We started off the summer off the best way I could ever imagine! I earned this trip with Scentsy and let me tell you ...Scentsy pulls out all the stops! It was a dream come true! We relaxed on the beach,played volleyball, saw waterfalls,met and mingled with some of the most amazing Scentsy leaders! I seriously don't know what my life was like before Scentsy!! The kids were in limbo between mine and Denny's families..and think they enjoyed us being gone!!But were so excited to have us back home!!

Our spring break was 2 weeks ago..and every year we return to the park that we went to as kids...Eastman Park. This year they had cleaned up the park some, added new stuff..it was great!The weather was beyond perfect and all the cousins had a ball! Thank goodness our Bonnie had her camera! Wonderful memories were captured!
Jake and Jarom really didn't remember much from visiting the park in the past..so they had more fun than anyone...here Bonnie captured Jarom in his "soft shoes" or his "slipper"..I love how you can see his feet marks on the bottom!

This past week was Denny's 35th birthday and then yesterday was Judson's 11th! How my little man has grown! He tests my patience everyday..but that boy is the one that changed my life..instantly from a kid to a wife..to a mom! How I love him!

Remember when life was just about pretty days and calling the swings first..swinging as high as you could and seeing who was brave enough to swing the highest and jump out??!! I love being a mother..it helps me be a kid longer..and my kids actually think I'm cool...well at least right now they do..

1. Going back to bed after kids are off to school...makes me feel guilty..but good at the same time.
2. Diet Coke!! Enough said.
3. This one is a little harder to put in writing..but it's the truth...FACEBOOK! What started out as re-connecting with friends..has turned into a wonderful way to also meet new friends! I love it! It doesn't hurt that I have gotten a lot of Scentsy business from FACEBBOOK either.

4. Sweets! Treats! and even more Eats!!

While none of these are life threatening (well I guess #4 could be) I feel sometimes the guilitest pleasures are what we look forward to the most..even if we really regret them afterwards. I wouldn't change it! It's just a small part of what makes me...ME!

The month of January was extremely busy. I went to Puerto Vallerta on a Scentsy Leadership Retreat. The entire Pilcher family went to Angel Fire,NM for a ski trip. Each event was packed with fun, exciting, sad and trying times. It makes still ever so grateful for the family I am blessed with. The company I'm grateful to be a part of and the wonderful support of a truly amazing husband. Each of my children seem to be growing overnight..which totally is exciting and depressing at the same time...where has time gone? It seems like just yesterday my Judson was a baby...now he is approaching his 11th birthday!! I love each and every person that plays a part in my life and feel extremely blessed beyond measure!

My Jaici turned 8 on October 1st! She has been counting down the days until her baptism and it finally came.What a wonderful moment for our family! All in one day I ran the Tator Trot 5k,did her birthday party, went to a friends birthday party AND we did her baptism. What a special day for a special girl!

Celia and I set a goal to do a 5k. She found this one in Grapevine for the first weekend of October. We both have been training and running trying to get ready for something neither of us has done! We were so excited and nervous at the same time! I went up the night before and had dinner with her and Corry and then we got up the next morning, setting out to conquer a huge goal for us both! We got our numbers and shook off the nerves and guess what!? WE DID IT! We both finished on better times than we thought and left knowing we want to do this again! It was great fun for me to get to spend time with my newest sister n law one on one! I love her and love that she did this challenge with me! I love you Celia! Thanks must be given to our paparazzi, Corry for snapping shots of us!

Big Jake started Kindergarten! No tears on either end were shed and he is loving his new teacher, Mrs. Troell.
Jaici moved up to 2nd grade. She is such a good helper with getting Jake to his class and loves school to no end.
Jud the stud moved into a new building. The intermediate. He is now in 5th grade and switching classes several times. He seems to be enjoying the other classes offered this year.

We have just returned from 7 wonderful, sunnyfun filled days! We had the pleasure of going on another cruise...that took us to jammin' Jamaica and Grand Cayman. We were supposed to go to Cozumel..but they skipped that port due to the flu! We were so happy that another couple friends of ours from church went also! It was wonderful seeing them everynight at dinner and talking about the day and watching the fun shows! I loved having Jennifer and Kenneth with us!!Great memories were made!!

Judson coined the phrase "Easter Eggin' " when he was little and it has stuck..I took Jake and Jarom to our playdate Easter party...31 kids and 18 adults. The kids had alot of fun and the weather was so nice!

So for Denny's birthday he got several sweet gifts..one was an Ipod touch that he was totally surprised about. He loves it. He got new clothes and cologne..but the best (in my opinion) was great tickets to the Dallas Mavericks game!! Woo Hoo!!! Compliments of his lovely wife =) We had so much fun!Not to mention that they played the Miami Heat (and won)but Dewayne Wade is awesome. He totally rocks the court. But I am partial to Dirk Nowitzki.It was a great game! It was close all the way to the end~ (phew) We had awesome seats and are already planning another trip ASAP! Best date we have had in such a long time. I love my Denny Frank!!

Jud turns 10!!

On March 28..Jud turned 10! That is so hard for me to believe!! He is really growing up! He got a 22 for his birthday! He was so surprised and excited!We finally went out yesterday to shoot out in the woods!! We all took turns..and in case you are wondering...Jaici was at gymnastics..so she wasn't in our photoshoot!!

Ok..so Cash is doing spectacular! He is doing so great! He talks to us and lets us know what he thinking. He only has the feeding tube.....although he is doing well...we had a little hiccup yesterday...the incision from the bladder surgery came open and he had to have the catheter put back in and the doctors had to do a minor surgery to fix the open wound..he is in a lot of pain. He is still really restless and uncomfortable.

He is in his own room and wide awake and restless. He will have the surgery to put the skull cap back on Monday. We are patiently waiting for this and then the trach. We know the catheter is driving him crazy. He tries to talk and communicate but we still don't know the extent yet...he is doing physical therapy and is already taking little steps. We still so appreciate the prayers and thoughts everyone has put out for Cash. He is doing so well...we are patiently waiting for each day and each new discovery he is going to show us. We thank you all again. I will put a pic of him with open eyes soon.

He did a thumbs up and held up two fingers...so that is majorly good! He is still in ICU...not sure when he'll be out of there. I love my Cash and he is doing so well. I just wanted ya'll to see a picture of him without all the tubes on his face. This is going to be a long recovery...a long one indeed..but I am in this for the long run. I love him and have been so impressed with all the love and well wishes and prayers and visitors and money that has been given to my family..especially my mom. He is surrounded by the best!

Cash has had a few surgeries since my last post. He had his bladder repaired...which was a relativly easy one. His ICP (which is the swelling around his brain) was climbing so they went in and did a surgery where they removed his skull flap and that allows the swelling to have room without causing damage...they will go back in a few weeks and put the skull cap back on. He now has a trach..which we were thrilled about. He gets a feeding tube directly in his stomach today so they will leave his face completly free of tubes. All of his vitals are going great. Its just a big patient game now. He has opened his eyes on command and stuck his tongue out. These were huge things for us. Keep him in your prayers. Thanks so much for all the well wishes on his behalf. I am going to include some pics for ya'll..they aren't pretty but I wanted to be able to show Cash these pics one day.

My brother Cash was in a four wheeler wreck this past weekend...he is in ICU right now. His vitals are all good and he had a small surgery done yesterday to repair his bladder. Right now the main concern is his head injury. Please keep him in your prayers.

Jaici was the first up which is quite funny since she is normally our last one to get up...Corry and

Celi were here and they got to watch the kids as they opened their gifts from Santa. Afterwards, we went to Denny's mom to have the annual Christmas breakfast. Yum-O!! We ate until we could eat no more and then moved to the gifts. What a blessing it is for us to be surrounded by all of our family. We feel quite lucky !!!

I'll start with Christmas Eve. It is always spent at my mom's ...Jimmy had to work and Candace had to go to inlaws with her family..but everyone else was there. We had alot of fun exchanging gifts and spending lots of time together laughing and making memories. Mom made aprons for all of us which we got by playing the left, right game...needless to say I love my family !!

Jarom Nathan ....where to start with this boy. Well if it helps to describe his personality to you..he has earned the nickname Turbo. His pawpaw now says you could call him Twin Turbo. He goes full speed all day long.He is all boy ..the other day Denny caught him outside with his tools. He had taken the front and back license plates off of one of the cars. He told his daddy "i'm fixin' it!" He is so dang cute. He changes clothes 160+ times a day..or so it feels like it. He loves the four wheelers, the razr, the dune buggy..the jeep. Anything outside with a motor...he is all about it. He is full of personality and loves to eat anything..you should see him gobble up a hamburger..with everything on it. There is a reason Heavenly Father sent him to us last...

Denny Frank Rocks my world!! I love him so much that it cannot even be put into words...I know without a doubt in my mind we were meant to be together forever~ I am so lucky to be blessed with this man as my husband...first and foremost we are best friends and that makes everything so much better...He makes my heart melt and my heart laugh. So I got the best phone call after church 2 weeks ago. My cousin in Dallas called to tell me her friend was sick and she had an extra ticket for NKOTB concert that night. Needless to say I was changed and on my way directly!! I had wanted to get tickets for this so I was so pumped when Alexis called. It was so so so so much fun. The most fun I have had in a long time. I didn't get to see them back in the day so this was MAJOR for me. At one point we were so close we could touch them..and if it hadn't been for security I am pretty sure me and Alexis would've! Thanks to Alexis for this awesome opportunity and for my sweet darling Denny Frank for putting up with me since...it is all I listen to and he has to get tired of it. This was the most fun I have had in a long time. I had to steal some of Alexis's close up shots because my camera had died by this point!

I didn't grow up in Gilmer..nor did I ever visit the Yamboree...but now it is the start of the holiday season for us. I love having the family and friends in..the change of the seasons just starting and the food of course. The kids totally are always stoked about being out of school. Jud and Jake rode the firetruck in the parade and Jaici was the princess on the FNB float..of course she looked beautiful. She couldn't wait to get all fixed up...but as soon as it was over she wanted her jeans and t shirt on. The weather was nice and seeing old friends and family..and meeting some new ones is always a highlight.

On October 1, 2001 I gave birth to the most precious dark haired blue eyed girl with the chubbiest cheeks on earth!!!! Little did I know she would be my only girl and that dark hair would turn blonde. How blessed I feel to have such a sweet spirit in our home.She definitly has her moments..but I have to hand it to her...she handles herself pretty well with all these boys around here.

We celebrated her birthday on October 4, 2008 here at our home with friends and family.Daddy had just built a new swing set and the weather was nice. She racked up on the goodies and Mommy made princess castle cake and the kids all got to take a shot at the pinatas. She is a sweet little angel and enjoyed every moment she could on her special day.

Ok..so he's not going to school everyday like the others but this is something we are way excited about. He goes to Mrs.Morris every Wednesday morning for private tutoring. We are so proud of him and all he is learning.He is going to kindergarten next year so this is a big step in getting him ready.

Arizona

So..I felt ambitious and spontaneous last week and decided to take my kiddos to Arizona to see thier cousins. ....wow what a long drive! We had alot of fun~The Miners opened thier home and never thought twice about having 5 extra people in their home...4 which were kids ages 9 and under!!!Added to the fact that Kelli and Josh went and bought a Wii and Rockband while we were there.....major bonus for the Pilcher family! Jaici immediatly connected with her girl cousins and would've been perfectly content staying in Arizona to take care of Candi's little girl Catherine....and the boys loved being together. Jud and Bentley had a bawl doing big kid stuff and Van and Jake took to each other immediatly. Jarom bullied anyone who would let him...all in all the trip was fantastic and wish it could've lasted longer! Thanks Josh and Kelli for opening your home to us crazy Pilcher's...great memories were made! I must add that Kelli and I took turns making yummy desserts every night and hers were quite yummy...she topped me everytime..I am going to miss dessert time....

DALLAS

Corry and Celia got married this past weekend and we decided to go up a few days ahead to have a mini vacation. We visited Hurricane Harbor on Thursday(which was so much fun..but I didn't feel like toting the camera all day for that). That night we went to Speed Zone and played lots of arcade games and drove go cart race cars! Then on Friday we swam at the hotel and went to dinner. That night we went to a fireworks show in Frisco...that ended pretty crazy. To make a long story short..we had car trouble in the middle of their Freedom Fest. Thousands and thousands of people walked past us and didn't offer any help!! Thank goodness we were traveling in 2 cars so we did have help...but it was after midnight before we got to the hotel! That's the way it goes! We had a ball! I will post pictures of the wedding later!

Judson was asked by Katherine and Brian to "babysit" their pet chameleon, Flash. Jud was so excited. He has taken such good care of him. He loves to show him off to everyone who comes over. He feeds the silkworms to Flash and takes special care to make sure he is getting his water and the right amount of lights. Jake has even let Flash crawl on him. He is an interesting creature to watch. He moves really slow and has funny eyes and hands. All the kids have enjoyed this. Jud is so sure we are going to let him buy one now.

In May, Denny and I celebrated our 10th anniversary by cruisin to Cozumel and Progresso. It was so much fun. We ate so much good food and slept so much. It was so relaxing. I cannot wait until next year.We are going to take the whole crew next year! How grateful I am for the wonderful husband I have. I am so glad he loves me as much as I love him.He rocks my world!!!

Well, summertime is here and that means lake time for the Pilchers! We bought our first boat this year and we are totally diggin' going to Gilmer Lake. We all take turns..whether it be on the wakeboard or the knee board..or just swimming for the kids. Brian and Katherine and Ava have been with us a few times and we enjoy the company. I even got up on the wakeboard for the first time. Speaking of firsts...Jarom and Jake rode the tube with me and loved every second of it! We looked forward to more hot, steamy days...because that means the Pilchers are headed to the lake once again!!
